A restaurant marketing agency that starts with the booking, not the brand

Three of the sites in our portfolio are restaurants, including a Vancouver steakhouse and a Persian dining room. We know what the category rewards: fast pages, a visible menu, and a reservation that takes one tap.

Restaurant marketing agency — the market, measured

Restaurant search is the most impatient category we work in. The searcher is usually hungry, usually on a phone, usually within a few kilometres, and frequently deciding between you and two others in the next ninety seconds. Nothing about that rewards a slow, beautiful site that hides the menu behind a PDF.

The menu is the point. It is the most-visited page on virtually every restaurant site, and it is the page most often shipped as a downloadable PDF — unreadable on a phone, invisible to Google, and impossible to update without a designer. Converting it to real, structured HTML is usually the single highest-return change available.

The demand data supports a specific approach. 2,900 US searches a month for 'restaurant website', 720 for 'restaurant marketing agency' at $27.21 a click — but the terms with the lowest difficulty in the entire vertical are the inspiration ones, 'best restaurant websites' and 'restaurant website examples', both scoring zero. Those are content plays, not service pages, and we would treat them as such rather than confusing the two.

The rest of restaurant marketing is unglamorous and effective: a Google Business Profile with current hours and real photos, review velocity that does not stall, structured data so your menu and hours show in search, and a reservation path that does not lose people at the third step. Brand work matters — but it matters after the booking works.

Combined monthly US demand across the terms we track in this category: 6,790 searches. Difficulty is scored 0–100 from the backlink profiles of the pages currently ranking — useful as a floor, not a promise, because it does not measure brand or budget. Where a cost per click shows “—”, there is no advertiser data for that term; that means unknown, not free.

Where restaurants lose covers

The menu is a PDF

Unreadable on a phone, invisible to search engines, and stale the moment prices change. This is the most common and most expensive mistake in the category.

Hours wrong in the one place people check

Google Business Profile hours, not your website, decide whether someone drives over. Holiday hours are where this bites hardest.

Reservation flow that leaks

Every extra tap between intent and confirmed booking costs covers. The booking widget should be reachable from the first screen.

Heavy hero video with no poster frame

Restaurant sites love full-screen video. Done badly it costs seconds of load time on cellular and shows a black rectangle while it buffers.

No structured data for menu, hours or location

Restaurant schema lets Google present your menu, price range and hours directly in results. Most sites in the category ship none of it.

What restaurant engagements cover

Menus as real pages

Structured HTML, phone-legible, editable by your team, and readable by Google — never a PDF.

Booking path optimisation

Whatever system you use, integrated so the reservation is one tap from anywhere on the site.

Google Business Profile management

Hours including holidays, photo cadence, menu links, attributes and Q&A — the profile is doing more work than your homepage.

Review velocity

A process that produces a steady flow of recent reviews, because recency counts in this category more than raw totals.

Restaurant schema

Menu, hours, price range, cuisine and location marked up so search can present you fully.

Performance-first visuals

The atmosphere shots and hero video that sell the room, compressed, poster-framed and lazy-loaded so they do not cost you the visit.

Work you can open and inspect

Three live restaurant and food builds — a Vancouver steakhouse, a Persian dining room and a custom cake shop. Open them on a phone; that is where they were designed to work.

Everything under one team

Strategy, design, build, media and measurement in one place — so nothing gets handed between agencies and lost in the gap.

Other industries we build for

Questions, answered straight

Do we need a website when we have Instagram and a delivery app?

Yes, for two reasons. Delivery platforms take 15–30% and own the customer relationship, and neither Instagram nor an app listing ranks for 'restaurants near me' the way a properly marked up site plus Google Business Profile does. The site is the asset you keep.

What is the single highest-return change for most restaurants?

Turning the PDF menu into real pages. It is the most-visited content on the site, it is currently invisible to search, and fixing it usually moves both rankings and conversion more than anything else on the list.

How do we compete with the aggregators and 'best of' lists?

You do not outrank a listicle — you get into it, and you own the searches that name you. Local map results, your own name, dish-specific and occasion-specific searches are all winnable, and they bring people who are actually choosing rather than browsing.

Can you handle photography?

We art-direct and we work with food photographers, but we do not shoot in-house. What we will do is tell you honestly when existing photography is costing you bookings — in this category it frequently is.

We are a small independent. Is an agency worth it?

Sometimes not. If you have one location, a solid Google Business Profile and steady reviews, the highest-return project is usually a one-off site build rather than a monthly retainer. We will tell you which of the two you need.

What does restaurant marketing cost?

Site builds in this category typically run CAD $6,000–$15,000 depending on menu complexity and reservation integration. Ongoing marketing, where it makes sense, is $1,500–$4,000 a month. Many independents only need the build.
