No page for the treatments that actually pay
Implants, Invisalign, emergency and endodontics each get searched separately and each deserve their own page. A single 'Services' list ranks for none of them.
Dental is the vertical we have built more sites in than any other — eighteen live practice websites across general, pediatric, endodontic and cosmetic. That is not a positioning statement. Every one of them is a URL you can open right now.
Dental search behaves differently from almost every other local category, and the difference is worth understanding before anyone spends money on it. A new-patient search is urgent, local, and almost entirely decided inside the map pack — which means the practice that wins is rarely the one with the best-written page. It is the one Google is most confident about.
Confidence, in Google's terms, means: consistent practice details everywhere they appear, a complete profile with the right service categories attached, real reviews arriving at a steady rate, and a site that is fast enough on a phone that a person in pain does not bounce. Everything else is downstream of those four.
The economics are unusual too. A dental click costs $68.89 on average and 'dentist SEO' carries a $70.41 cost per click — among the most expensive in local healthcare. A single implant or orthodontic case can be worth several thousand dollars in lifetime value, which is why practices over-invest in paid and under-invest in the organic and map presence that would lower their acquisition cost permanently.
The other pattern we see constantly: practices competing on 'dentist near me' while the actual money is in the treatment terms. Emergency, implants, Invisalign, root canal, pediatric — those carry lower volume, far higher intent and much less competition. Eighteen builds in this vertical is how we know that, not a guess.

Combined monthly US demand across the terms we track in this category: 8,090 searches. Difficulty is scored 0–100 from the backlink profiles of the pages currently ranking — useful as a floor, not a promise, because it does not measure brand or budget. Where a cost per click shows “—”, there is no advertiser data for that term; that means unknown, not free.

The single highest-value action on the site should be reachable from every page, on mobile, without scrolling to the footer.
Missing service categories, no treatment photos, unanswered Q&A. For dental this is more consequential than anything on the website itself.
'Do you take my insurance' and 'what does it cost' are two of the most common pre-call questions in dental and most practice sites answer neither.
Emergency dental searches happen on a phone, often on cellular. Every second matters more here than in categories where the buyer is browsing at leisure.
Separate, properly structured pages for the procedures that carry real search demand and real case value.
Categories, services, treatment photos, Q&A seeding and a review flow that does not depend on the front desk remembering.
Dentist and MedicalBusiness structured data with accurate hours, practitioners and accepted insurance, so Google can present you properly.
Distinct pages, distinct profiles and no duplicate-content overlap between locations — the trap most multi-site practices fall into.
Integrated with your practice management system where it supports it, and a fast fallback form where it does not.
Claims written to survive professional-college advertising standards in your jurisdiction. This is a real constraint in dental and it gets ignored.
Eighteen live dental builds — general practice, pediatric, endodontics and cosmetic, mostly across Metro Vancouver's North Shore. Open any of them.
Strategy, design, build, media and measurement in one place — so nothing gets handed between agencies and lost in the gap.
Three ways. The map pack decides more of it than in most categories; the money sits in treatment terms rather than the head term 'dentist'; and your copy has to survive professional advertising standards, which restrict claims other industries make freely.
It depends entirely on your market's search volume, which we measure before quoting. What we can say is that practices we work with typically see map-pack impressions move first, within 6–10 weeks, and treatment-page rankings follow over 4–6 months. We will not put a patient number in a proposal we cannot defend.
Usually yes, because most of those ten have an incomplete Google Business Profile and no treatment pages. Dense dental markets are competitive on paid and surprisingly soft on organic fundamentals. The audit tells us in about a week.
Yes. The main risk in multi-location dental is duplicate content between location pages, which can suppress all of them. We build them to be genuinely distinct — the same discipline we apply to our own location pages.
That is the usual arrangement. Eighteen of our showcase builds are dental practice sites, so the design, the build and the search work come from one team rather than three.
We write to the professional-college standards in your jurisdiction — no guaranteed-outcome claims, no superlatives you cannot substantiate, testimonials handled per the rules that apply to you. If your regulator's guidance conflicts with something we propose, the guidance wins.
We can review the technical site, current search footprint and content structure, then identify the highest-value opportunities to improve discoverability.
